§ Mrs. CurrieI regret that we do not collect centrally details of all the needle exchange schemes operating in England as they do not need to refer to the Department before starting. It is estimated that there are currently at least 60 schemes in operation, run by health and local authorities, non-statutory services and pharmacies.
