§ Mr. Norman LamontTreasury Ministers have received recent representations about stamp duty arising out of the transfer of units in United Kingdom unit trusts, including its alleged effect on their international competitiveness. I am currently in correspondence with my hon. Friend the Member for Beaconsfield (Mr. Smith) on this point.
