§ Mr. Ian Stewart[holding answer 1 November 1988]Between 1 January and 30 September this year, two formal complaints were made about the use of plastic baton rounds by the RUC. The police report on one of the cases has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions and currently awaits his decision. The other complaint is still under investigation.
