Whether they are aware of the initiative launched by the Merseyside Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote a "Liverpool Land-Bridge" to link North America with mainland Europe via the Port of Liverpool and the Channel Tunnel; and whether they are willing in principle to support the studies to test the viability of the proposal.
§ Lord Brabazon of TaraWe are aware of this initiative. The Government believe that it is for commerce and industry to assess the prospects for a successful project.
