To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what figures he has for the number of young people unemployed in the Vale of Clwyd and Wrexham, up to the age of(a) 20 and (b) 25 years.

In July 1988, the latest available date, there were 4,709 persons under 25 unemployed in the travel-to-work areas of Denbigh, Wrexham and Shotton, Flint and Rhyl. Of these 1,907 were under the age of 20.
