HC Deb 14 November 1988 vol 140 cc375-6W
Mr. Beggs

To ask the Attorney-General to what extent the increase in valuation from £110,000 to £150,000 for properties at Smithfield square and Francis street, Belfast owned by Frederick Andrews was a result of judicial direction requiring revaluation.

The Attorney-General

No judicial direction was given in the case of Mr. Frederick Andrews, a patient, in regard to the revaluation of his properties at Smithfield and Francis street, Belfast, prior to their sale.

Mr. Beggs

To ask the Attorney-General (1) when the sum of £150,000 was paid into Frederick Andrew's bank account;

(2) if Frederick Andrews or his guardian has received any annuity from (a) his estate in general and (b) the £150,000 related to Smithfield square and Francis street properties in Belfast;

(3) if he will take steps to arrange for the Official Solicitor or the Master of the Office of Care and Protection (NI) to make available to the relatives of Frederick Andrews, 1978 No. 516, statements of accounts, income tax returns and details of all movements of moneys and properties inherited by Frederick Andrews since the death of his father.

The Attorney-General

I refer the hon. Member to my earlier replies to him about this case on 25 February 1988, at collumns257–59.
