§ Mrs. CurrieCrown immunity has already been removed from the National Health Service in respect of food legislation and health and safety legislation, as defined by the National Health Service (Amendment) Act 1986. New controls on emissions to the atmosphere are expected to come into force next year. The Department will be neither seeking nor would expect Crown immunity for health authorities from them.
