HC Deb 11 November 1988 vol 140 c343W
Mr. David Marshall

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will allocate additional resources to Glasgow district council to enable it to tackle the particular problems affecting the 998 Winget-type of houses in the Carnutyne area; and if he will make a statement.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

It is for the district council to determine the priority it attaches to improving its Winget-type houses, to include this work in its capital programme according to that priority, and to determine how it uses the capital allocation made available to it. We shall consider carefully the proposals that the council includes in its programme for next year which has only recently been submitted to the Scottish Development Department.
