Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information he has as to the expected cost to the local health authority of the QED campaign which has been launched by the Leicester general hospital.

Mr. Mellor

Costs of local campaigns are a matter for the district health authority and the hon. Member may care to write to Mr. Farnham, the chairman of Leicestershire health authority, for the information that he seeks.

Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information he has as to the number of hospitals that have launched QED campaigns similar to that recently launched by Leicester general hospital and as to the amount of money expected to be saved.

Mr. Mellor

We do not collect such information centrally.
