§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe Barnstaple downstream bridge is a Devon county council scheme and is shown in the county council's 1989–90 transport policies and programme with a start of works in June 1995. The timing and priority of the scheme is entirely a matter for the county council. It is as yet too early to consider it as a candidate for transport supplementary grant.
