To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many representations he has received regarding the transfer of formerly Greater London council-owned housing outside the former Greater London council area to housing associations(a) from the former Greater London council tenants and (b) from others; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 9 November 1988]: Before the transfer of the ex-GLC seaside and country homes, the London residuary body forwarded 379 representations in response to consultation letters to all 3,445 tenants. Since the transfer 15 representations have been received direct and eight via constituency Members of Parliament.
