HC Deb 09 November 1988 vol 140 c204W
Mr. Fraser

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action has been taken in the Turks and Caicos islands to prosecute the former Attorney-General, Terence Donegan, and to recover from him Crown lands appropriated to him and persons under his control.

Mr. Eggar

Mr. Terence Donegan has not been prosecuted by the Turks and Caicos Islands Government. Following a commission of inquiry, he was served with a deportation order in July 1987 and will not be allowed to re-enter the territory.

The question of restitution of alienated Crown lands is a matter for consideration by the Turks and Caicos Islands Government.
