HC Deb 09 November 1988 vol 140 c231W
43. Mr. Allen Adams

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what representation he has received on his proposals relating to the future of the Scottish Special Housing Association.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

The Government's view of the future of the Scottish Special Housing Association was set out in CM 242 ("Housing: The Government's Proposals for Scotland"). It proposed that the association's responsibilities for housing in Scotland should be taken over by Scottish Homes. The wide range of views submitted on these proposals were fully debated at various stages of consideration of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988.
