HC Deb 09 November 1988 vol 140 c191W
Mr. Sedgemore

To ask the Attorney-General if he will make a statement on the decision not to prosecute Ian Fraser, the former loan manager of Johnson Matthey bank.

The Attorney-General

On 7 September 1988 the Solicitor-General, concurring with the advice of the director of the serious fraud office and leading counsel, decided that there was insufficient evidence to justify the institution of criminal proceedings against Ian Fraser for alleged offences of corruption arising out of his employment with Johnson Matthey Bankers Limited.
