§ 25. Mr. DevlinTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what level of Government resources have been devoted to Glasgow since 1979; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RifkindIt is impractical to list the very substantial resources that many Government Departments and agencies have devoted to Glasgow—either directly or indirectly—in this period, though the results of generous Government funding are plain to see in the city. Within my own responsibility I draw particular attention to rate support grant payments, housing grants, and expenditure by the Scottish Development Agency and by the greater Glasgow health board.
