§ Mr. LangMy right hon. and learned Friend keeps in frequent touch with the Confederation of British Industry in Scotland on matters affecting the Scottish economy. His recent discussions have covered, among other things, the imaginative proposals for Scottish Enterprise advanced by the chairman of the CBI (Scotland).
§ 46. Sir Hector MonroTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he next intends to have a meeting with the chairman of the Confederation of British Industry (Scotland) to discuss the prospects for the Scottish economy.
§ Mr. RifkindI have frequent contacts with the chairman on a range of industrial and economic issues, including most recently the proposals for Scottish Enterprise which he has advanced. I look forward to a continuing exchange of views on these and other issues.
