§ Mr. AtkinsOne application has been received. This was made in 1986 under the "private branch exchange for visually handicapped operators scheme", a scheme set up under the terms of section 93 of the Act. The applicant was Norton Telecommunications Ltd. The grant requested was for £25,000 to support the adaptation of the console of Norton's MCX exchange for use by visually handicapped operators. The application was successful.
