§ Mr. SainsburyIn the 1987–88 Estimates about 90 per cent. of total extramural research and development expenditure was placed with private industry and less than 1 per cent. with public corporations. Almost all of the remaining expenditure is overseas or with universities or other further education establishments.
§ Mr. HaywardTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will give the breakdown of the overseas extramural development, as shown in the Defence Estimates 1987–88 into country, company and project.
