To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if his Department plans any further campaigns to promote energy saving.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Berkshire, East (Mr. MacKay) on 9 June 1988 at columns634–35. This described the new aims of the Energy Efficiency office and its main areas of work from 1989–90. Work is continuing to develop new strategies and programmes to promote energy efficiency.
