To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he is now in a position to provide details of the additional funding for clinical nurse regrading in Wales; and if he will make a statement.

I can now announce the additional financial allocations to health authorities in Wales which will meet in full the estimated final costs of the nurses' clinical regrading exercise. A further £10.1 million is to be provided of which £9.6 million will be allocated to district health authorities in accordance with the estimated additional costs of their respective new grading structures. The additional sums to be allocated to each authority in Wales are shown in the table; the total allocation takes into account the funds that have already been provided this year.
