§ 18. Dr. Goodson-WickesTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recent steps his Department has taken to develop European co-operation against terrorism; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HurdCo-operation against terrorism takes place in multilateral bodies such as Trevi, in bilateral links with individual countries and in the regular ongoing liaison between officials, the police and security agencies. I attended a meeting of the Trevi Ministers in June and will be attending the meeting under the Greek presidency in Athens in December. In addition, I have had recent bilateral talks on terrorism and other matters with my French, Swiss and Italian counterparts and later today I shall he travelling to Madrid for discussions with the Spanish Minister of the Interior.
