Mr. Darling

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the board members of the Scottish Development Agency and indicate their other business interests.

Mr. Lang

Members of the agency board are not required to provide information routinely to my right hon. and learned Friend about their financial or other personal interests, but are asked to declare to him any such interest if it is incompatible with membership of the agency. The current membership of the agency board, none of whom has declared such an interest, is as follows:—

Under Paragraph 13 of schedule 1 to the Scottish Development Agency Act 1975, members must declare an interest in any of the matters arising on the agenda, but such declarations are not notifiable to my right hon. and learned Friend.
