HC Deb 03 November 1988 vol 139 cc748-9W
Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what action his Department is taking to ensure continued health care for school children within the Nottingham district health authority area, in the light of the authority's reduction of five whole-time nursing posts in the school health service.

Mrs. Currie

Health care for Nottingham school children is a matter for Nottingham district health authority. I understand that the health authority is undertaking a review of workloads and priorities to ensure that children in special schools and in areas of greater need continue to get the necessary services. If there are any particular concerns over a child's health their own general practitioner can of course be consulted.
