HC Deb 03 November 1988 vol 139 c714W
Mr. Tony Banks

To ask the Lord President of the Council if he has received updated information from Her Majesty's Stationery Office on the use of recycled stationery within the House of Commons; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Wakeham

Yes. The Accommodation and Administration Sub-Committee reconsidered the possible use of recycled paper in February this year. After discussions with HMSO, the Sub-Committee concluded that paper containing recycled material was unsuitable for use as House of Commons stationery and that the present quality of writing paper and envelopes should be maintained.
