To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what was the total value of property disposed of by his Department in the financial year 1987–88; and what is the current estimate of likely disposals in the financial year 1988–89.

Receipts from property sales in the financial year 1987–88 totalled £77 million. The current estimate for receipts in 1988–89 is £148 million.
