§ Mr. McNamaraTo ask the Attorney-General if he will list by year for each of the past 10 years and for the current year to the most convenient date, the number of cases where a defendant has introduced a new line of defence during a trial not previously mentioned to the police in(a) England and Wales and (b) Northern Ireland distinguishing where possible between those offences which were terrorist-related or scheduled offences and otherwise, showing those which were terrorist or scheduled offences associated with the current disturbances in Northern Ireland.
