HC Deb 02 November 1988 vol 139 c685W
56. Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the latest figure he has for the number of married couples who are living in a household headed by another person, in(a) Greater London and (b) England.

Mr. Trippier

The Department's latest household estimates relate to 1986 when 22,000 married couples were estimated to be living in Greater London in a household headed by another person. The corresponding estimate for England as a whole is 94,000.
