§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe results of indoor exposure to radon have been published by the National Radiological Protection Board in two documents, "Exposure to Radon Daughters in Dwellings" (NRPB-GS6, January 1987) and "Natural Radiation Exposure in UK Dwellings" (NRPB-R190, May 1988), copies of which have been placed in the Library of the House. There is no need to restrict home building on, over or near granite provided adequate measures are taken to avoid high levels of radon.
