The available information about the number of defendants proceeded against for litter-related offences, which may be incomplete, is published annually in table S1.1(a)(iii) of volume 1 of the supplementary tables to the "Criminal statistics, England and Wales". Copies of the issue for 1987 have been placed in the Library.
