HC Deb 01 November 1988 vol 139 c594W
Mr. Hood

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) if he will list those hospitals and their respective health authorities or boards who have facilities to treat patients with multi-allergies;

(2) what resources are devoted within the National Health Service to the treatment of allergies; what steps are taken to ensure that such treatment is uniformly available throughout the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Currie

Treatment for allergies is widely available. The amount of resources devoted to it is for decision by health authorities in the light of their knowledge of local needs, priorities, and resources. No central record is kept of specific facilities or clinics for treatment of multi-allergies.
