Since May last year, when the Abolition of Domestic Rates Etc. (Scotland) Bill was enacted, my right hon. and learned Friend has received about 2,200 inquiries about the community charge, over half since the publication of the booklet "You and the Community Charge". The length of time taken to deal with each inquiry depends on its nature.
