To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the percentage change in farming incomes in the United Kingdom after taking inflation into account in each year since 1979.

The percentage changes in United Kingdom farming incomes for the period 1979 to 1987, after removing the effect of inflation, are set out in the table.
