§ Mr. FreemanI refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply given by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence Procurement on 22 February 1988 at column103. There has been no change in our position on the competition to choose a new 4-tonne vehicle design. The contract to provide some 2,000 of the existing 4-tonne model for the services over the next two years was placed with AWD Ltd. on 22 March.
