To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a further statement on the progress towards integrated schools in Northern Ireland.

Dr. Mawhinney

The Government are encouraged by the growing evidence of the willingness of parents to have their children educated in the integrated schools. The Government's proposals to facilitate the creation of grant-maintained integrated schools will offer a further opportunity for the expression of parental wishes.
