How many United Kingdom citizens, over 18 years old, are disqualified: (a) from voting in parliamentary elections; and (b) from election to the House of Commons, for each of the following reasons: peerage; the holding of office; mental infirmity or incapacity; bankruptcy; or for being convicted and sent to a penal institution.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)

People may be disqualified from voting in parliamentary elections or from sitting in the House of Commons by virtue of a number of reasons deriving from common law, the custom of Parliament or statute. Records are not kept of the numbers involved.
