To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many days elapsed between the taking of sheepmeat samples under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1986 and the results of the tests being available.

There is no standard time between samples being taken and test results being available. Existing arrangements permit most samples to be turned around within 24 hours where this is necessary.
