HC Deb 24 May 1988 vol 134 cc112-3W
Mr. Cox

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what action his Department is taking to stop the illegal broadcasting by Radio Britannia in south London.

Mr. Butcher

A recently established unlicensed broadcaster calling itself Radio Britannia on a frequency of 95.3 MHz was raided by radio investigation service officers on 18 May. One person was interviewed for possible prosecution under the Wireless Telegraphy Act, and the station's equipment was seized.
