§ Mr. ButcherDuring 1987, my Department's radio investigation service (RIS) carried out 19 raids on three unlicensed stations in Birmingham. So far this year, the RIS has raided four Birmingham stations eight times, and interviewed eight people for possible prosecution under the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949.
