§ Mr. McAllionTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, pursuant to the answer of 28 April,Official Report, column 232, he will specify the information on which Her Majesty's Government base the suspicions of Israeli involvement in the murder of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation official Abu Iliad in Tunis; what attempt Her Majesty's Government have made to establish proof of such Israeli involvement; what weight he attaches in this regard to press briefings by Israeli Government sources acknowledging responsibility; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MellorIsraeli spokesmen have neither confirmed nor denied widely reported allegations of Israeli involvement in the murder of Abu Jihad. The Israeli authorities have offered no comment in reply to our own inquiries on this matter.
