§ Mr. Stanley[holding answer 26 April 1988]: Various groups and committees of officials have met; often on an ad-hoc basis, to co-ordinate the work of the information departments within the security forces and the Northern Ireland Office. Detailed records have not been kept on their role and composition because it was judged neither necessary nor cost effective to do so.
