To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many women were in prison mother-and-baby units on the most recent convenient date.

On 13 May, there were 70 women in prison mother-and-baby units.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what proportion of sentenced male and female prisoners, respectively, on the most recent convenient date had not served a previous custodial sentence;

(2) what proportion of sentenced males and females under 21 years who were received into prison in the most recent convenient year had not previously served a custodial sentence;

(3) what proportion of sentenced males and females under 21 years in custody on the most recent convenient date had not previously served a custodial sentence;

(4) what proportion of sentenced males and females under 21 years received into custody in the most recent convenient year had not previously served a custodial sentence.
