To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what is the regional distribution of his Department's research establishments.

The distribution is as follows:

Scotland

• National Engineering Laboratory at East Kilbride.

South East Region

• Warren Spring Laboratory at Stevenage.
• Laboratory of the Government Chemist at Waterloo (London).
• National Physical Laboratory at Teddington.
• National Weights and Measures Laboratory at Teddington.
