§ Mr. FearnTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in theOfficial Report the number of clerical officers employed by each regional health authority for each year since 1979 until the latest year for which figures are available, together with the estimated number of clerical officers required by each regional health authority.
§ Mr. Newton[pursuant to his reply, 29 February 1988, c. 462]: The figures for each year since 1982 are shown in the table. For the years prior to 1982 information on staff in post by region is not available in a form consistent with the later years.
The same functions are not undertaken in each authority.
