To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when his Department's investigation into Emray was instigated.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

Mr. Philip Henry Bovey and Mr. Ian George Salter were appointed on 3 September 1984 under section 172 of the Companies Act 1948 (now section 442 of the Companies Act 1985) to investigate and report on the membership of Emray plc (now Equity and General plc).

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether any legal proceedings are contemplated against those accused by his Department's report into Emray of taking part in illegal concert parties to buy shares.
