§ Mr. ChopeRepresentations have been received from two associations (the Association of District Councils and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives), two local authorities, and three members of the public. We said that we have no plans for change; our priorities are to ensure the efficient and economical functioning of local government and its accountability to the public.
