HC Deb 17 May 1988 vol 133 cc443-4W
Mr. Butler

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if, in the light of the recent survey of the level of awareness of the risks of acquiring AIDS among students in Northern Ireland, he will reassess his health education policy in the Province.

Mr. Needham

AIDS public education policy in the Province is subject to continuous review in the light of the findings of attitude and awareness surveys which are carried out from time to time. In line with this approach the results of the study referred to by my hon. Friend are being taken into account by the Department of Health and Social Services and health and social services boards in planning future health education measures required both locally and for the Province as a whole.
