§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWork is currently in progress on the supply of new hangers for the suspension bridge, for the major strengthening works on the crossing and for protection of river piers. Resurfacing work is expected to start next year. The programme for completion of all works by the end of 1990 remains on target. The current estimate for the whole scheme is £56 million.
