HC Deb 16 May 1988 vol 133 c326W
Mr. Cran

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment to what extent the exposure to radiation dose limits for the public takes into account the greater exposure risks among younger age groups.

Mr. Moynihan

When radiation dose limits are applied to the public, account is taken of the potentially greater exposure that those in younger age groups receive because of size, diet and habits. The National Radiological Protection Board, an independent expert body, advises the Government on recommended radiation limits in this country.
