asked Her Majesty's Government:

What plans they have for using staff of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the training of immigration officers (especially for the handling of asylum cases) and when they expect improved methods to start.

Arrangements were made in September 1987 for UNHCR staff to address all initial training courses for immigration officers, and these will continue.
