HC Deb 16 May 1988 vol 133 c334W
Mr. Butler

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many cases were seen at genitourinary medicine clinics in the United Kingdom in each year from 1980 to the latest available year.

Mrs. Currie

The available information is given in the table. Figures are not available for those who receive private treatment. The figures are counts of conditions — an individual is recorded under each condition present and may be recorded more than once in the year for different courses of treatment. Figures for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales are the responsibilities of my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Northern Ireland and Wales.
